AML Techno-Functional Consultant / Design Architect (Onsite UAE)

Brief DescriptionWe are seeking a highly experienced AML Techno-Functional Consultant / Design Architect to lead and deliver enterprise-scale Anti–Money Laundering (AML) initiatives within the banking domain. This role involves managing AML projects and BAU initiatives in multi-jurisdiction regulatory environments, with a strong focus on transaction monitoring systems and compliance architecture. The ideal candidate will combine deep AML domain knowledge, hands-on SAS AML implementation experience, and strong architectural and stakeholder management capabilities. Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage AML projects and BAU initiatives within the banking compliance domain

Design, develop, and implement SAS AML solutions in complex enterprise environments

Integrate AML platforms with core banking systems, onboarding platforms, and digital channels

Define and maintain solution architecture, integration strategies, and design artefacts

Ensure regulatory, compliance, and customer reporting requirements are met

Enhance AML solutions to reduce false positives and improve operational efficiency

Map data from multiple source systems into AML models

Collaborate with business, IT, vendors, and cross-functional teams

Drive project execution adhering to project management and governance standards

Support stakeholder management, risk mitigation, and change management activities

8–10+ years of experience in Banking IT, with minimum 5 years in AML

End-to-end implementation experience with SAS AML (mandatory)

Strong knowledge of transaction monitoring systems

Experience integrating AML solutions with core banking and enterprise systems

Hands-on experience with Oracle, DB2, SQL databases

Exposure to Hadoop / Data Lake environments

Ability to prepare design, architecture, and integration artefacts

Experience working in multi-vendor, onsite/offshore delivery models

Strong understanding of regulatory compliance across multiple jurisdictions

Professional certifications such as SAS, ACAMS

Exposure to AWS or Azure cloud environments

Experience with JIRA, Confluence

Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Experience working in both Waterfall and Agile (SCRUM) delivery models

Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, MIS, Business Administration, Economics, or Commerce
