What would you be doing?
• You will lead our DevOps team in India • You will help us to adopt Kubernetes across teams • You will support us in the transition from a monolithic architecture to microservices • Create and maintain our pipelines • Help source and recruit talents for the team • Coach, mentor and develop the other DevOps engineers • You will ensure our entire infrastructure is codified and can be provisioned with a single command • Continuously improve DevOps engineering practices • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity • Managing performance and provide constructive feedback, helping the members of your team become the best they can • Define your career path and embrace the opportunity to grow and learn • Benefit from working in a multi-disciplinary team, that uses modern software and product development techniques, and values continuous improvement • You will report to the Head of DevOps
What are we expecting from you?
• 7+ years in a DevOps role, 3+ years as DevOps Lead or similar • BS degree in Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent experience • You are hands-on (this is a hands-on role) • Superior knowledge of working in cloud-based infrastructure, in particular AWS • Outstanding experience deploying and managing Kubernetes/Docker clusters • Master of Infrastructure as Code, in particular with Terraform • Deep knowledge of New Relic and monitoring best practices • Demonstrable knowledge of microservices oriented architectures • Familiarity with Multi Region Topologies, Auto Scaling, Load Balancers, Proxy Servers, SNS, SQS, DNS, CDNs and WAFs • Capable of architecting frictionless security and compliance best practices into global cloud infrastructure • Good knowledge of configuration management tools, preferably Ansible • Vast experience with build tools, especially with Jenkins • Guardian of secrets, hands-on experience with KMS secrets manager and EKS integration • Custodian of artifacts, experience with Amazon EKS, ECR, Code Artifact • Solid understanding of service discovery and distributed key-value stores • Experience working with RDBMS like PostgreSQL, MySQL • Experienced working in/with Lean, DevOps culture
Nice to have
• Solid knowledge of Nginx and Apache HTTP Server • You deployed on production Apache Pulsar • You deployed on production, and upgraded Apache Open Search • Solid understanding of service discovery and distributed key-value stores • At easy using Python and/or Shell scripting • Possessing any AWS certification will be an added advantage.
